hey guys, i know alot of u are damn tired and want a break after exams and SYF and i know that me and my EXCO are pushing u all abit too hard but think about it we also wan the CO to prosper and move on to greater heights, firstly about the camp,i noe everyone is damn unhappy with the sleep overnight thingy but it sort of create bonding and further more it would make more sense to sleep in school rather than to ler u all go home then come back again, well some people stay damn far from school so naturally it would be better to stay at school, besides that people also have been asking me y must stay overnight during saturday, well as u know we are going for the concert which will lasts us all the way to about 9 plus, and by then u return to school it would be about 10 so some parents would not pick their children up in case of dismissal and this would prove very unsafe for the children. i hope u all will understand my position, u have to consider the conductor factor, members factor, teachers factor and parents factor.it is really tough lar and i thought of giving up, so it would be better if u all understand our decisions, we would not like to be as harsh as the previous EXCO but we rather be an interactive kind. ok...... next thing, about the auditions..... some people call it lame, some people call it a waste of time. well the audition's primary aim is to let the sec one know where their standard is and are they suitable to enter the main orchestra. well it is defintely not a waste of time as we would not want to push in the sec ones like that, i don wan them to hun inside the main orchestra. i wan quantity as well as quality not only quantity like coral sec during the syf. the auditions for now are targeted only for the sec ones now. in the future, well chew wans it to be everybody every three months to prove that u r worthy of a place in the main orchestra. u feel it is taxing but we feel more cause we are the ones who leave the music room last, we are the ones who come the earliest . so if u wan to complain pls weigh the factors, view our position before u complain like a typical singaporean.enjoy the camp.
